The upper outer arm is the most common and most convenient area for patch application.

If the patch is to be applied to the lower midriff area, the individual should lean back slightly to stretch the skin. For placement on the lower back, the person should lean forward a bit.

Avoid applying a PharmChek® Sweat Patch on skin with visible sores, cuts, scars, ulcerations, or irritations like acne. However, placing it over tattoos is acceptable if the tattoo is light-coloured and free of prominent scar tissue.

The chosen area for application should be free of excessive hair, wrinkles, and not subject to friction from tight clothing. If the donor has a lot of body hair, do not shave the area. Instead, opt for an alternative site on the body or consider using a different testing method
